2014 Conference

Help us create NEMA’s first Pop-up Museum!

What is a Pop-up Museum?
Pop Up MuseumA Pop-up Museum is a temporary exhibit created by the participants, usually lasting about 2 or 3 hours. Its purpose is to provide an avenue for conversation around a topic through objects and their stories. It’s a great way to get to know your colleagues and it’s fun!

The theme of this pop up is: What do you create or do when you’re not working? We know that our members are a talented lot. They paint, make jewelry, cartoon, and more! Bring your creation or an object that represents your favorite hobby or activity.

Advance registration is required.

How does it work?
1. First, sign up by sending an email with your name and contact information to Lynn Baum at lbaum@turtlepeakconsulting.com by October 31. If you know what you are going to bring, describe it briefly. Space is limited, so sign up early. Additional visitors will be able to stop in and observe our work, but to participate you need to contact Lynn.

2. On the evening of the Pop-up each participant should bring an object connected to the theme: what do you create or do when you’re not working.

Objects will be arranged on tables in frames or mats. Frames and mats will be available but if you have your own feel free to bring that along as well. Objects should be a reasonable size to be displayed on a table.

We will write our labels together. Materials for labels will also be provided. Brad Larson of Brad Larson Media will set up his Story Kiosk so that we can record our stories and share them on social media.

A cash bar will be available.

We look forward to seeing you there!
