March Lunch with NEMA

WHEN:  Wednesday, March 31, 2021, Noon- 1pm
WHAT: Respectful Ways to Deepen Volunteer Giving
WHO:  Elisa Kosarin, CVA, Twenty Hats
FORMAT: Webinar

Museums depend on volunteers to enhance the visitor experience and assist behind the scenes. Their contribution of time and talents is priceless in and of itself. Did you know, though, that volunteers are also generous supporters? Research shows that volunteers give ten times more to their nonprofits of choice than non-volunteer supporters. To leverage this generosity, you must strengthen and support volunteer/development program collaboration.

Lunch with NEMA and explore how to:

  • Create volunteer roles that appeal to donors, too
  • Communicate opportunities that lead to greater support
  • Collaborate internally to increase contributions, both charitable and in-kind
  • Learn practical strategies for volunteer giving that demonstrate respect for the volunteer contribution.

Elisa Kosarin helps museums enhance visitor engagement by expanding the capacity of their volunteer programs. Based near Washington, DC, she has consulted with numerous public and private museums in the area. Elisa is Certified in Volunteer Engagement (CVA) and presents regularly at nonprofit and museum conferences. She has also been featured on podcasts for the American Association for Museum Volunteers (AAMV).
