 Harvard Museum of Natural History Once widespread throughout New England’s old growth forests, the wolf is now regionally extinct, with only occasional sightings of wolves migrating in from Canada.  In the background, an impressive bull moose dominates the woodland pond In the New England Forests exhibition in the Zofnass Family Gallery at the Harvard Museum of Natural History. Due, in part, to the reforestation of the region, moose are now found in every New England state.
