Museum Profile
Brick Store Museum
The Brick Store Museum was founded in 1936 by American artist Edith Barry. Barry originally opened the Museum in her great-grandfather's old dry-goods store, built of brick in 1825.
Today, the Museum inhabits a campus of five 19th-Century buildings on Main Street in Kennebunk. It is open year-round, presenting revolving exhibitions on a range of topics pertaining to Kennebunk/Maine history and local art. During the summer months, the Museum's outdoor space flourishes with vegetable and flower gardens.
