The not-for-profit Children’s Museum of New Hampshire strives to ignite children’s creative potential and forge memorable family learning experiences. The Museum offers two floors of hands-on, custom-created exhibits where visitors can explore a wide range of interests, from dinosaurs, music and aeronautics to world cultures, art and natural history. Open year-round, the Silver LEED-certified museum works closely with schools, social service agencies and educators to serve all families. Programs include early learning opportunities for toddlers, preschoolers and homeschoolers; free monthly program for families raising children on the autism spectrum; a monthly Alzheimer's Cafe; and a weekly maker workshop for kids ages 6-12. The museum also hosts a variety of live performances, artist visits and special events. Families enjoy the museum's central location in downtown Dover's riverfront Henry Law Park with a playground, picnic areas and proximity to family-friendly restaurants and shops.
