Museum Profile
Fitchburg Historical Society
Fitchburg is a microcosm of America's history, with colonial New England homes that are still private residences, old Yankee families, big diverse immigrant populations, factories that date from 1835 to today, and a downtown filled with Victorian, Federalist and modernist buildings. The Fitchburg Historical Society began in 1892, to bring the city's fascinating history to a wider public through historical research, collections and public programs.
