Harvard Museum of Natural History
The museum combines historic exhibits drawn from the University's vast collections with new and changing, multimedia exhibitions such as New England Forests, Mollusks: Shelled Masters of the Marine Realm, Sea Creatures in Glass, and the newly renovated Earth & Planetary Sciences. The museum’s historic Great Mammal Hall displays three huge whale skeletons suspended from the ceiling above bison and a 15-foot tall giraffe. The museum is just a 7-10 minute walk through historic Harvard Yard from the Harvard Square MBTA Red Line ‘T’ station. Open daily, 9 am – 5 pm, 361 days/year.
