Mead Art Museum at Amherst College
Located on the Amherst College campus in western Massachusetts, the Mead offers an exciting array of exhibitions and programs, including gallery talks, artist lectures, and family events. Celebrated for its collection of Hudson River School landscape paintings, Russian avant-garde art, Japanese prints, and ritual objects from West Africa, the museum also contains a stunning example of 17th-century English interior architectural design, the paneled Rotherwas Room. Free admission.
