Museum Profile
Providence Children's Museum
Housed in a renovated factory building in the heart of Providence’s Jewelry District, the Museum is a hands-on place for kids and families to play, learn and grow together. With a mission to inspire and celebrate learning through active play and exploration, the Museum presents interactive indoor and outdoor exhibits and creative daily programs designed for children ages 1 to 11 and their caregivers. Construct fountains, float boats and explore the swirling, whirling ways of water. Experiment with imaginative puzzles and challenges and investigate the playful power of air, light and sound. Wriggle through a two-story climbing maze and through tunnels and burrows in an outdoor playspace. Discover a whimsical woodland environment for young children.
The Museum is wheelchair accessible and all signage is in English and Spanish. Open September – March, Tuesday - Sunday, 9 AM - 6 PM. April - August, open daily, 9 AM - 6 PM. Open during school vacations, Monday holidays and until 8 PM on selected Fridays. Daily programs, birthday parties, school visits and rentals. Free parking.
