For our fall Quick Take Poll, we asked "Do you think your museum does a good job with wayfinding?"
30% of respondents answered yes, 63% said not, and 7% answered "What is wayfinding?"
Wayfinding refers to information systems that guide people through a physical environment and enhance their understanding and experience of the space.


Other responses included:
- "Wayfinders" volunteers assigned to key pinch points
- Kiosks and maps on the grounds
- Gallery assistant only for traveling exhibits, pdf of map on website that can be downloaded
- We are a historic site and have far too many signs in the landscape, directional, prohibitive, informational.
