The Northeast Popular/American Culture Association has a call for proposals for their 2018 fall conference held at Worcester State University in Worcester, MA, the weekend of October 19-20, 2018. The deadline for proposals is June 1, 2018.

The Connecticut Center for the Book at Connecticut Humanities is now accepting submissions for the Connecticut Book Awards! These awards recognize the best books of 2017 by authors and illustrators who reside in Connecticut. Submissions must be postmarked by 5:00 p.m. on April 20, 2018.

Proposals are invited for Salve Regina University's Annual Cultural and Historic Preservation Conference, which will be held on October 12-13. Both individual papers and complete sessions are welcome on the theme "Community Preservation through Adaptive Reuse." Potential topics include position papers, conceptualizing adaptive reuse, historical analysis, and case studies. Papers in any field of academic or applied preservation (e.g. architecture, architectural history, archaeology, museum studies, preservation planning/policy) and public history are welcome. Submission Deadline: May 1, 2018.
